Armed Forces Day – Saturday 30th June 2018

A spectacular and exciting day of entertainment, with air displays, parades, demonstrations, competitions and activities for the whole family.
We are excited to announce for this year’s event we will be working closely with the Royal Air Force for the RAF100 celebrations and commemorations, as 2018 marks 100 years of the RAF.
During the event the Royal Navy, Army, RAF, Royal Marines and veteran’s organisations, charities and the emergency services will showcase their services in a variety of ‘villages’ set out across the Hoe. Over 100 exhibitors will be on display with static and interactive activities.
The day is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come along and show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community from currently serving troops to reservists, veterans, cadets and their families.

Day OneIndie titans Bastille, famous for huge songs including Pompeii and Good Grief, will headline with a full 90-minute set.Singer-songwriter Ella Eyre – the deserving owner of two MOBO Awards, a Brit Award and a top ten album will also be taking to the stage.
Also performing in our Day One line-up is rapper Professor Green and Club MTV favourites R3WIRE & VARSKI, who will be getting the party started!
Day two – Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra will headline with their full Ibiza Classics show, conducted by Jules Buckley.

British Firework Championships – Wednesday 8th to Thursday 9th August

 

The world famous British Firework Championships will return on 8 and 9 August, offering two nights of spectacular pyrotechnics that will illuminate Plymouth Sound.

Six top firework companies will battle it out over two nights, each putting on an awe-inspiring ten minute display.

Plymouth 10k – Sunday 7th October 2018

Plymouth 10k holds an undulating course, suitable for runners of all abilities. Starting in the City Centre, you’ll head out towards Marsh Mills along the embankment and back whilst taking advantage of closed roads and great scenery.
